Successful investor process at SEICO Verkaufsgeschäfte GmbH
With effect from 1 April 2024, the business operations of SEICO Verkaufsgeschäfte GmbH were taken over by a consortium of investors led by Venator Holding GmbH as part of a transferring reorganisation. This means that SEICO can continue to contribute its many years of expertise and a large number of jobs will be retained. The business property in Rotenburg (Wümme), which was not part of the insolvency estate, was also acquired by the current buyer.
SEICO Verkaufsgeschäfte GmbH is a leading manufacturer of mobile shops. To this end, it operates a production facility in Rotenburg that covers all the necessary work steps in-house on the basis of purchased chassis.
After a boom in demand during the coronavirus period, SEICO experienced a significant decline in customer demand in 2022 and 2023 as well as challenges due to supply bottlenecks at chassis manufacturers, which led to restrictions in material procurement. These developments ultimately forced the company to file for insolvency at the Walsrode district court on 1 February 2024.
The investors would like to refocus on the old SEICO virtues, namely the series production of market and chicken-grill vehicles, and divest themselves of marginal businesses such as campers. In addition, the investors themselves operate over 400 sales vehicles and will incorporate their practical and user experience into SEICO’s product development, which will benefit all SEICO customers.
