Welcome back, Laura!

Since February 2017, Laura Kottmann has been supporting us in particular with restructuring projects and insolvency proceedings. However, she was able to enjoy the company anniversary from home this year, as she was on parental leave until September after the birth of her twin sons. Now she’s back and we’re not only burning with congratulations on her return to work, but also with a few questions.
What makes your work at WAYES special?
Laura: Since the beginning of my work at WAYES, it is and always has been our team that makes working special. Especially the short communication channels, flat hierarchies and the mutual trust in the work of our colleagues.
How did communication work during your parental leave and when you returned to WAYES?
Laura: Even during my parental leave, I had a regular exchange with my colleagues. This meant that I often received updates and knew about important new developments. I first discussed my return to work at the beginning of the year and coordinated everything in August and September, before returning in October.
How does WAYES support you after parental leave?
Laura: I find the flexible working hours particularly supportive. I can choose for myself when I start, when I finish, and whether I want to work from the office or from my home office. The part-time concept, which is discussed individually and adapted to my own needs, also helps.
What are you looking forward to at work after parental leave?
Laura: I’m especially looking forward to my colleagues and the exchange of ideas in the office! During my absence, some new colleagues have joined us, so I’m particularly looking forward to the new wind. I also like the fact that I now have a mixture of work and family time. In the mornings and at lunchtime, I’m in the office and concentrate on myself and my work. In the afternoon, I pick up my kids from daycare and we spend time together.
