Successful reorganisation of food pioneer Biovegan

WAYES has found an investor for Biovegan GmbH, a leading manufacturer of organic vegan and gluten-free foods based in Bonefeld (Rhineland-Palatinate): a company owned by the Zimmermann family (Cologne) has acquired 100 per cent of the shares. All 100 jobs were saved.

Together with the restructuring manager Sven Pursche (novaerion GmbH) and general representative Dr Philipp Grub (GRUB BRUGGER Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB) as well as a team led by Dr Hans Schenk and Boris Sakowski, the self-administration proceedings were carried out. Dr Alexander Jüchser (LIESER Rechtsanwälte Partnerschaft mbB) acted as administrator. Helge Hoffmann and Tobias Spreitzer (both bachert&partner) supported the business planning during the self-administration.

Biovegan is the baking and cooking ingredients specialist for vegan organic products. The company has been an organic food manufacturer from the very beginning and has been pursuing the goal of helping people with food intolerances and enriching organic vegan cuisine since 1986. As a sustainably operating company, only raw materials from organic farming without pesticides and without animal ingredients are processed.
