Contract cast in mold: Acquisition of Giesserei Schmidt

For the since January 2023 insolvent Giesserei Schmidt GmbH & Co. KG from Cuxhaven, a WAYES team (Sebastian Zolondek, Darius Djafari and Lilius Schlenzig) was able to achieve a pleasing solution: On May 1, 2023, the Venator Group will take over the business operations, the plants in Cuxhaven and Hemmoor (both in Lower Saxony) and all 57 employees.

The medium-sized company specializes in iron castings (gray and nodular iron) and aluminum castings with in-house mechanical processing. Well-known customers, among others in the wind energy sector, are supplied with precision tools from the foundry.
