Yes! Future prospects for plant manufacturer Hilgefort

This week, our colleagues Michael Rabe, Hendrik Leigers and Natalie Schulze had the special honour of attending a festive occasion: the handover of Hilgefort to ZÜBLIN Stahlbau GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ed. Züblin AG.

The Executive Board of Ed. Züblin AG invited staff, neighbours, those involved in the process and representatives from administration and politics to welcome Hilgefort employees to ZÜBLIN and to present the planned investment programme for the Dinklage site. Investments in the double-digit million range are planned to expand the site for bridge construction. This will enable orders relating to investment and infrastructure renewal in Germany to be processed efficiently in future. The speakers aptly referred to a ‘new start with a future’.

Hilgefort GmbH was forced to file for insolvency in January 2025. Together with insolvency administrator Berend Böhme, managing director Ulrich Hilgefort and the entire workforce, the company was successfully stabilised and continued to operate beyond the opening of insolvency proceedings on 1 April 2025.

The WAYES transaction team was exclusively commissioned to carry out the investor process. In a highly competitive process, the ZÜBLIN Group emerged as the strategic bidder with the best concept. All jobs will be retained.

We would like to congratulate everyone involved on this important step and thank them for their trust. We are delighted that we were able to contribute to the successful conclusion of the investor process by building bridges.
