YES! Future prospects for ek robotics GmbH

We were able to accompany a special milestone: NEURA Robotics is coming on board as an investor and taking over the business operations of ek robotics GmbH – a strong signal for the future of intelligent transport robotics.

At the end of July 2025, ek robotics had filed for insolvency proceedings under its own administration. With Jochen Sedlitz (GRUB BRUGGER Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB) as general representative and Stefan Denkhaus (BRL) as (provisional) administrator, the investor process was set up in record time. Just eight weeks after the mandate was granted, the solution is in place: NEURA Robotics as a strategic partner for the further development of cognitive, autonomous logistics solutions. Those involved aptly spoke of a new dimension in mobile robotics.

The solution found means the preservation of over 300 jobs – not only at the Hamburg and Reutlingen locations, but also at the foreign subsidiaries in Czechia, Italy and England. This means that know-how, customer proximity and service capabilities will be fully retained.

WAYES’ transaction team was appointed as M&A advisor to manage the investor process. In a highly competitive process, the complex sale was successfully completed within a short period of time. Our team: Falk Schnurbusch, Michael Rabe and Sebastian Zolondek. Special thanks go to the self-administration team led by Jochen Sedlitz, the M&A lawyers involved led by Felix Rebel and Dr Hans Schenk, as well as the team of the administrator Stefan Denkhaus and the consultants involved for their excellent cooperation.

We warmly congratulate all those involved on this important step and thank them for their trust. We are delighted that we were able to contribute to the successful conclusion of the investor process as bridge builders – a new start with a future for ek robotics.
