New year, many new colleagues!

The new year has begun, and right from the start we are delighted to welcome a fantastic new team of starters. Welcome to WAYES, Marisa, Felicitas, Lavinia, Sarah and Finn!

Marisa Rinke is joining us as a manager in the transaction division at our Hamburg office. With a dual bachelor’s degree in business administration, followed by an LL.M. in M&A and corporate law, as well as in-depth transaction experience from her time at KPMG and Sehner, she brings with her comprehensive expertise from a wide range of industries. Most recently, she worked there as deputy team leader and played a key role in building up the sell-side division. We are therefore all the more delighted that she has now found her new role at WAYES.

Felicitas Meyer has joined us as an analyst in the litigation division at our Oldenburg office. Her career path took her from humanities and musicology to positions in prevention research at BIPS and in administration at THW to AOK in Oldenburg. There, she was responsible for ordering, delivery notes and financial bookings in the prevention department, among other things. In search of a long-term perspective, she now supports our team with her structured approach to work and her eye for detail.

Lavinia Garten joined our P&C team in January as a P&C assistant at our Hamburg office. After completing her training as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk, she moved into human resources. At Axel Springer (Ein Herz für Kinder), she spent four years working in administrative HR and project management, including for major events such as the Ein Herz für Kinder charity gala. With additional training in human resources, she is ideally qualified for her new role at WAYES.

Sarah Kowalski has joined the CFO Services team in Hamburg as a senior consultant. After completing a dual bachelor’s degree and a part-time master’s degree, she gained valuable experience at Big Dutchman, where she developed her focus on finance and controlling. Via corporate controlling at the parent company, her path led her to internal consulting at BTC Business. Now, at WAYES, she combines consulting with a focus on FI/CO – in search of more variety and the next meaningful step in her career.

Finn Thewes joins us as a consultant at our Hamburg office. With a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration with a focus on finance and economics, as well as internships at Bachert und Partner, Horváth & Partners and Evonik, among others, he made a conscious decision to pursue a career in management consulting. He already has initial experience in the field of restructuring and is now starting the new year at WAYES with great motivation.

We are delighted to have you on board! We look forward to working together, generating lots of new ideas and shaping 2026 together.
