New Manager School

For us, development does not end with the next step in one’s career. On the contrary: it is often at this very point that a new phase begins, in which guidance, dialogue and targeted support are particularly important.

With our New Manager School, we therefore aim to support colleagues who are new to a managerial role on their journey in the long term. Our focus is not merely on imparting knowledge, but above all on building confidence in the new role, consciously fostering development and providing space for reflection and discussion.

To kick things off, the focus was on collectively defining the role of a manager at WAYES. Together with our in-house speakers Melanie, Sebastian, Sunny and Falk, we brought together different perspectives on leadership, responsibility and the expectations associated with the role.

Building on this, practical training sessions with Dr Maren Lange support our new managers in their further development and address typical questions and challenges encountered in day-to-day management.

After all, our aim is not only to develop our staff up to the next stage, but also to continue supporting them beyond that. With appropriate guidance, honest dialogue and opportunities that help them grow in their roles and continue on their own path at WAYES in the long term.
