Investor process started for Solandeo GmbH
The WAYES transaction team is handling the investor process for leading smart meter provider Solandeo GmbH.
Solandeo has been active as a competitive metering point operator since 2013. Several thousand customers already rely on Solandeo’s digital metering systems and their ability to efficiently and scalably map highly complex metering processes. Solandeo also has a nationwide network of installation partners. This enables fast and flexible installation planning for meters, control systems or battery storage systems.
Solandeo will continue its successful operation of meters and intelligent metering systems (iMSys) unchanged in the self-administration process. The targeted growth course in an increasingly difficult financing environment could not be financed in a timely and legally secure manner. The aim of the self-administration proceedings is to successfully reorganise the company in an orderly process. Solandeo had already initiated an investor process before the application was filed, which will be continued and intensified in the self-administration proceedings.
Restructuring experts Dirk Schoene and Judith Schmid have been appointed general representatives by the management and, together with the Dentons restructuring team, will provide the company with comprehensive advice during the self-administration proceedings. M&A and energy expert Thomas Schubert will be responsible for the legal aspects of the sales process. Dr Susanne Berner, a lawyer specialising in insolvency and restructuring law from the law firm Dr Berner & Partner Rechtsanwälte PartG mbB, has been appointed as provisional administrator.
