HSV: Double promotion, double goosebumps

Right outside our office window: history was made today at Hamburg’s Rathausmarkt. HSV celebrated the promotion of the men’s team to the Bundesliga and the promotion of the women’s team to Bundesliga 1.

Around 120,000 fans gathered around the town hall square in the early evening, creating an atmosphere that we were able to follow directly from our offices.

The day began at 5 p.m. with an official reception in the town hall by Mayor Dr Peter Tschentscher. Afterwards, both teams travelled around the Inner Alster on event trucks – accompanied by music, applause and lots of happy faces.

For us, it was an impressive experience that highlighted the connection between the city, sport and location in a special way. We congratulate both teams on their promotion and look forward to an exciting new season with two clubs in the Bundesliga – right in the heart of an enthusiastic city.
