This was the daily routine of our consultant Heinz Baumann for one month. In January, Heinz spent four weeks in Austria through the \u201cWorkation\u201d concept. This is a cross between the English words \u201cwork\u201d and \u201cvacation\u201d \u2013 in other words, work and vacation. The decisive factor here is that you are not really on vacation during a Workation, but work regularly from your home office, so to speak. However, one can still enjoy the benefits of the chosen (vacation) location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The question may arise how the feeling of vacation can arise when one is in a vacation location but still experiences a normal work week. Heinz led the way and instead of hanging out on the couch after work and letting the free time fly by, he packed his skis or snowshoes to make the most of his free time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So the goal of a workation is to change the daily routine for a limited time and thus make the free time more conscious and active. New impressions, different food and more activities help to create a vacation feeling even after a regular working day. You create memories and don\u2019t have to take extra time off for it \u2013 a win-win situation!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When it comes to preparing for a workation, planning is, of course, key. At WAYES, customer projects have the highest priority, even during the workation. Therefore, a time period is chosen in advance, during which the consultant does not necessarily have to be on site. Colleagues are also involved.
